Death

Updated: Jun 28

the death tarot card is deplicted by a white horse galloping over a desert with a clown mask with a teardrop, next to the horse is two butterflies and behind is a window with curtains looking out at the sunsetting over the ocean and a ship sailing towards the horizon

Transformation, Change, Endings, New Beginnings

Despite the Death tarot card being metaphorical, not physical death, few people welcome it, the fear of the unknown is so stifling that it often holds us back from living life to the fullest.

I wonder if the caterpillar is aware of the beautiful transformation that awaits her when she surrenders to the dark cocoon and lets go of her former life, if she knows that by letting go of her current self or situation that she’ll gain wings, freeing her from the limitations she has been subjected to.

Many of us walk through life wearing masks, creating personas to please others, too afraid to show our true selves out of fear of judgement or ridicule, It’s time to drop the mask, and let the next ‘Death’ wash away the veneer, allowing your true, authentic self to shine through.

Nature constantly shows us that life is cyclical and never ending, through the monthly moon phases to the daily sunsets and sunrises.

As we admire the sunset, we know without a doubt it will rise again the following morning, and when the time is right, we will be ready to set sail towards a new horizon.
